Words and Verse

Goodbye

Your words (thought's shadow cast through empty night)
Echoed "goodbye" but still I wonder how
You'd give goodbye to me.
                                        Where hills grow bright
With floral glories and the birch's bough
Displays a birth of blossoms, you're the bloom,
You glow where unknown suns blush on the moor
And pierce the woods to deepest forest floor,
Where appleblossoms tower, gold in gloom,

Wherever nature glows, it's you I crave,
In loud shores where the salt sea hurls its wave
In sylvan quietude where every creature
Roves sweetly, Where the leaflets rise and sigh,
You, you are there, so do not say goodbye,
Say rather I must look for you in nature.
