Leaders or Followers

Isaiah 9: 16

They who lead the people cause them err,
Into the dark and dismal depths of despair;
They that are led by them are destroyed,
Never to return to the time once enjoyed.
Either lead, follow or get out of the way,
A well known slogan in my military day;
What makes a person be able to succeed,
As in taking the reign and start to lead?
Why one can lead as another will follow?
Maybe it's the personality to overshadow;
Some are natural born as being the boss,
While other only follow for being at a loss;
Some wannabe can easily make a mistake,
Learns a hard lesson when much at stake;
Then a leader either gets demoted or fired,
If breaking a law finding them re-attired;
As for me a leader I'm not naturally born,
For I never can take the bull by the horn;
I rather be a follower of God in this life,
So He can lead me through all the strife.
