My Laddie.
Handsome laddie time is flying
Thirty-six today.
Still remember torn trousers
Just like yesterday.
I try to think when did I blink
All that time away.
It just flew by oh so fast
But memories still stay.
Your first word was Mama
I made sure of that.
My wee laddie started school
Learned to write down `cat`.
Then into your teenage years
Pretty girls they ran.
Now a dad with your own lad
Teach him all you can.
Each and every memory
Is stored within my heart.
I love you my laddie
As I did at the start.
Have a happy day today
Be young, yes have some fun.
Remember you`re my laddie
My lovely special son.
