Poems for Lovers and Sinners

Early Dawn

And when I'm sinking in the wine
Rescue me from the moment, no where's!

The hours stand still for everyone today
Minutes go backwards for me, only me

In this town, part of a city it's easy
When your drunk, time talks words
That you want to hear, you don't

Cast your eyes around the statue
Liberty and Freedom, for whom?

I light a cigarette in a subway
And throw a dime to the beggar
That's me...

I'm taking a back seat now
Flying across the ocean blue
Wondering about you, and you

The wine tastes good on my lips
My senses play games with me
My world is a game
You're gone but not forgotten...
