The Tiny Flower(For my love...Thank you for believing in me and helping me to grow) In the early days of Spring A flower emerged by a garden wall Pushing her way up from the earth Shaking her arms from winters thaw How innocent she seemed to be Her petals in a tightly woven bud Wondering if the sun was safe As it shone down with its love She decided then to fan her petals With caution always by her side Just in case the sun wasn't as it seemed So she could curl back up inside But one by one as her petals stretched She could feel the warmth within And she knew that she would never retreat Back into her shelter once again ~THE FLOWING PEN~ 3-22-04 Vote for this poem
