Poetic Injustice

How soft and tender once did flow
This little flowing pen
Until it tasted the bitter betrayal
Of one that it called friend

In hues of sky it wrote its word
Prose created among a heartbeat
But blue has darkened into black
Soft words left to be in memory

Poetic Injustice this is my friends
Damage done from a long ago sin
Perhaps with your gentle loving praise
This sweet pen could flow again
