Words and Verse

Spring  (Translation-Corsican)

You jump to greet the morning
As new emotion thrills you
Rejoicing in a Nothing,
You bear a Good that fills you.
You speak the tongue of blossoms
Of sill and stone and pebble.
You understand the birdsongs,
And the mill's flood of babble.
You send a stream of kisses
To everything around you...
You sing. Your voice is boundless.
Yes, Spring! I've truly found you!
