Vanquished

And now this romance is ended

    Where do I travel?

We made plans, had ideas

Now all are vanquished

Upon the ocean of promises -


I thought there was love

Written across our bodies, I

Heard whispers in the night

That only lovers hear -


We laughed at each other's smiles

Held each other tight in silence

For silence says 'I Love You'

Because no words can express
      What I feel -
