Big Good JohnJohn 1:6-7 There came a man, who was sent from God, The name of John as a witness and applaud; Testifying for the concern about the light, So through him all might believe in delight; This man told us of the coming of the king, While he was performing his baptismal thing; John said that there would be one greater, That was coming there not that much later; Lo and behold, he knew Christ right away, When Jesus came to be cleansed that day; Now it must have been really quite a sight, The unworthy feeling that it was not right; A person that was much greater than he, Coming to him for the baptismal decree; John understood exactly what he had to do, For God's plan started coming into view; The honor was upon John as it required, To baptize Jesus since it was so desired; He knew that everything was appeased, Hearing from God of being well pleased.
