Rainfall

These aren't tears upon my face
Salty symbols of my hurt and pain
Slipping down my soft ruby cheeks
It's just a little fall of rain

These aren't sighs that escape my lips
Desperate pleas taken from deep within
Shaking my soul until nothing remains
It's just a blustery gale blowing in

It isn't your voice echoing in my head
The memories that creep as my mind drifts
Robbing and stealing away my sleep
It's but the lightning that tormentingly rips

It isn't the madness that overtakes me
A soft insanity invading my mind
It's only a symphony of life and it's ways
Disguised within natures pantomime
