One Day At A Time.

I have to say he's a very wise man,
For it has to be one day at a time,
He tells me it's all we can really do!
And for me, especially for this problem of mine!

So every day that I awake,
I have this thought in my head,
To take my life one day at a time,
For we are a long time dead!

It's no use planning ahead,
For tomorrow may never arrive,
So for now I do as he say's,
For this day at least I am alive.

No matter how much I worry of fret,
There is nothing that I can do…
To change or alter the path I must take,
So I do what it takes to see it through!

One day at a time makes so much sense,
For it helps me to get through each day,
And every time I start to worry…
This is what my Pete will say…

‘Cath, you can't look into the future,'
‘And you can't worry or fret,'
‘For no matter what, life is mapped out,'
‘And we have to accept all that we get.'

And he's correct of course,
And he calms me when I get into a flurry,
‘Remember what I tell you!' He says,
'Take your life as it is and don't worry.'

'Worry does nothing but cause us distress,'
'And sends us into a panic,'
'Making everything seen so scary,'
'And brings thoughts frightening and manic!'

I do as he say's and hope everything will be fine,
And try not to worry about every day,
Not look ahead, just one day at a time,
And it makes everything seem okay.

One day at a time, that's what I do now,
And try not to dwell on tomorrow,
Stay focused, and life for today,
Stay happy and not live life in sorrow.

And You Know What?
It Really Does Help!
