Poems for Lovers and Sinners

Sentiments cannot say how I really feel

Oh I can put on that happy smile and grin

Have the intellectual conversation on wit

Nibble on biscuits while sipping my gin

Inside my head I'm trying to break free

I see a thousand eyes staring where I sit

Yet I feel invisible to the crowds around me

I want to escape into the future years of happiness

I want to jettison the present days forward, back

Somehow my shadow is glued to the sunlight

I'm stuck in the middle, a time lock, unlocked!

I have nowhere to go, decisions, questions, answers...
