A Single Blue Rose

A single blue rose
And days gone by.
My music was your lull-a-bye.
You warmed my heart.
I calmed your soul.
I made love to your spirit.
I brought you in from the cold.
You filled me with passion.
My thoughts, they ran wild;
While caressing your beauty;
My broken girl-child.
Now I cradle your heart
Through my loneliest nights.
My passion, it flows
Into the lyrics, I write.
A single blue rose.
A broken girl-child.
With passion and longing,
My thoughts, they run wild.
Baby girl listen
To my lull-a-bye.
I'll make love to your spirit;
Until my spirit runs dry.
A single blue rose
And days gone by.
Now, I cradle your memory
Through my loneliest nights...
