forgetting

my heart taunts me into thinking
i am in love with you,
the memory of you lingers,
i've tried everything to
forget,
now i face this race alone,
my mate wants to leave me,
for just thinking of you,
why do you captivate my
every thought,
my very being yearns
to know who you are,
the petals of the flower
fall to the floor,
still you are no more,
help to forget and let
me live again,
the esctasy between
a woman and man,
with no regrets of
what could have been,
and what never was,
let my mind be free
of you for all eternity.....
