your words fall on deaf ears
for years you broke promises,
now you think your words can
erase all the sadness,
i write this to let you know
this is my time to shine and grow,
wherever my path leads that is
where i will go,
if i end up alone so be it,
your words fill the air
with remorse and despair,
once upon a time i loved you
when you were still mine,
now my search is begining anew
without you,
my words to you now are nothing
but lies to keep you at bay,
until i can find my way,
whether it be alone or
with another you never know,
my heart was once yours
now it yearns for another,
how could your words ever heal
the pain you have given me,
no your words fall on deaf ears.....
