Little Tommy Tapper

Little Tommy Tapper danced around the town
Pinching ladies bottoms on his crazy round
Leading all the policemen a merry little chase
All the while a dancing with a smile upon his face

In and out the sides streets around the city square
Weaving and a ducking dancing here and there
In his best lounge suit all dressed to kill
Giving all the ladies a special little thrill

Then little Tommy Tapper when his dance was done
Quietly disappeared off into the sun
None of those people ever knew his real name
But there's talk still of his day of fame

And in the town lock up wanted poster 195
Says little Tommy Tapper dead or alive
For having fun without the proper chit
And to this very day they've not cancelled it
