Inner and Outer Self

2 Corinthians 4:15 & 16

All things are for your sake in His grace,
Being multiplied through God's embrace;
Thanksgiving unto God's glory to abound,
Making a joyful proclamation to resound;
We faint not even though outwardly decay,
While our inwardly soul renewed everyday;
Our body is a shell with bone and flesh,
With strands of muscles that inter-mesh;
It is a slow decaying process as we grow,
The older we get the more aging will show;
It is the part of that gets the most abuse,
As it gets bumped and shoved in its use;
For as our bodies seem to deteriorate,
The more slowly the parts will operate;
No medical way to reverse the process,
Doctors only prolong and take a guess;
Through God's grace for our soul inside,
That He embraces within us to abide;
Knowing my thoughts and our true value,
Rejuvenating our spirit making an anew.
