Reunited 12/8/02
It's not that I can't wait until I get there,
but upon my arrival
it's going to be like one huge Slidell revival.
All my folks I never was blessed to know in the flesh will be there.
The kings and queens that have transformed into the spirit
will be awaiting my entrance.
The Grandparents I never had the opportunity to hug
will give me embraces of love.
My joy will be pure and blissful.
Grandfather,
I can't wait to have our first versation;
I feel your strength flowing through my veins.
My beautiful Grandmother will shower my soul with an abundance of TLC,
I can picture her smile as we verse on poetry,
I can vision my teeth as she recites poems
and songs I've only heard stories about.
Great-Grandma Mary is going to overwhelm me with hugs and kisses,
reminiscing on all the times when I had to go pick the switches.
My uncle Lester's hiding,
waiting to show me his pearly whites,
but this time there will be no fright.
My cousin Adrin will be there to guide me in verse,
can't wait to see his style and grace;
always cool,
never saw him in a nasty mood.
Aunt Clotiel will bring me back to my childhood;
a woman that as a child I knew exemplified the epitome of Love.
Uncle Spirol (really my cousin)
will be there chilling like always.
When I see him I know Jerome won't be far,
can't wait to tell them both how much they inspired me.
Everyone directing me to the Spirit's Ball.
Once I open the Golden Gates
my brother will be there like always to catch me when I fall
out from over elation.
When I wake I'll see Aunt Floramae
hosting the spot.
At the bar waiting with a couple of drinks is Ken and Darryl toasting
to our Reunification Reunion.
I Love and Miss All Ya'll.
And thanks for always remaining inside my heart and soul.
See Ya'll when I get there............
