Perception!He Asked If I Was A Poet! Well, what can I say? I think he thought I was daft, But he doesn't know me at all, So here a little poem - in a draft! Perception is nine tenths of the law! Isn't that what they say? Or is it the way we perceive things, That helps us along the way! I think I'm a little mixed up, Cos I'm not sure of what I can say! Wow, that's a first, for me… Cos I'm rhyming all flippin' day! I know that we perceive things, To be maybe what they are not, And those of us who do that…! Well let's face it, we should be shot! I never presume or perceive anything, For I believe that's wrong to do! We are what we are, perceive what you will, Because most times no-one has a clue! They perceive it to be this…. And perceive things to be that too… But they are usually wrong, And it's the wrong thing for them to do! So yes, perception is nine tenths of the law, And it's a law unto me… That no-one will ever presume or perceive… Something that they want me to be! For perceive this and presume what you will… I am what I am…and no matter what, You can be sure of this little fact… We are usually what you think we are not!!!
