Again Night Falls...2003

My nights are long and lonesome.
My bed is half empty.
My heart is half full.
My days pass by me.
Again night falls.
I look for your eyes.
I am blinded by the sight of you.
The sparkle in your eyes.
The color of your spirit.
They are brilliant.
Like the brightest star in the heavens.
They light up the night.
Even though my nights
Are long and lonesome.
Even though my bed is half empty.
Even though my heart is half full.
The brilliant light of your spirit
Is the lantern that guides me through my sorrow.
Perhaps one long and lonesome night
I shall become no ,ore.
My bed shall become entirely empty.
Yet, my heart shall be entirely full.
Perhaps my lantern shall become
The brilliant light of our Lord, God.
Then my heart would be full.
No longer would my nights
Be long and lonesome.
My spirit would be with you always.
The light of my spirit
Would become your lantern.
I could walk beside you.
I could help to light your way.
Perhaps I will join the angels
And sing heavenly songs
That only you can hear in your heart.
The songs composed by my spirit.
No more poems written on paper.
Just a whisper left upon your heart.
My nights are long and lonesome.
My bed is half empty.
My heart is half full.
My days pass by me.
Again, night falls...
