He Was My Heart, My Life, My Inspiration!He was my heart, he really was, Without him I thought I was nothing at all, And one day, without knowing why, My heart for him…took a fall! He was my life, he really was, Without him I was in the land of the lost, To lose his love and devotion, Oh, what a terrible cost! He was my inspiration, he really was, Without him I have no goals to aim, My heart is his, his heart was mine, Our hearts are one and the same! He was all that and more to me, But he is no longer and will never be so! For when he hurt me and left my life, So too did my love for him go! I have found there is life without him, For I know his love for me wasn't true! For if it was, be sure of this… That pain he would never have put me through! I have realized that love can come and go, But oh, what a cost it can be! But the heart does mend, the hurt does too, But we have to allow it to you see! I thought I would never trust again, For what he did to me was so very bad! He hurt me like no-one would believe, His deeds to me were so very hurtful and sad! Some things you can forgive, But others you can not, no way! So I released him of his promise to me, Took my ring of that same day! He put me through a whole load of pain, It was hell that I suffered so! There was going to be no second chance for him, So I had to let him go! It was the hardest thing I have ever done, More than words can say! But I have moved on, into the light, And began anew one bright day! Life does not revolve around one man, There is more to life than that! And the experience I received from that, Brought me to where I am at! To love and have lost is so painful, yes, I know this to be true, But there is always love, after love, And I love again, yes I do! So once again I opened my heart, And let love into my life, But I am stronger than I was, And will not accept any more strife! In My Life, One Chance, One Shot!
