Rainbow of Promise

Rainbow of Promise

What happens to all our tears?
Do they fade or just disappear?
Where do they go once they fall?
Are they not remembered at all?

What if they are taken above,
Riding upon the wings of a dove,
Poured into bottles made of glass,
Where they are remembered top of the class.

The Master knows the tears that are shed,
And remembers his blood when it was shred,
Breaking His heart he begins to weep,
Seeing the tears of his beloved sheep.

Heaven's tears fall down from the throne,
And fall on all the helpless and the alone,
Purifying the creation and all living things,
Through the clouds that His tears brings.

Then He sends joy through the sunshine,
The heavens glowing with colorful lines,
Oh! What does our tears sow?
A promise from God, a rainbow.
