Sleep soundly under the stars above
As God watches over you with his love
And even though you sleep under a distant sky
Know you are not alone deep in the night
Please know that we are proud of you
And support you in all the things you do
Our prayers are yours each passing day
Until you are safe at home to stay
So walk in the morning with us by your side
Protected from harm with our love and pride
Until the day comes when you fight no more
And our soldier comes back to this American shore
