The Prolific Poet(Inspired by a dear friend) Oh tell me prolific poet Is it your words that ring true Poem after poem you scribe today But this is ne'er something new Could this symbolic pen of yours Be the outlet for your heart With life to be your parchment there~in And two hands to bid the start? Why do you write your tender script What is it you want the world to see Is this some hidden testimony Of what will or has come to be? When will you scribe your masterpiece?
