Ripples
Like ripples in the water
God brought you then to me
As I stood crying on the shore
With worn sand beneath my feet
I looked into your eyes then
And you said come walk with me
For our time together grows shorter
But so precious this time will be
The wind of life was blowing
And it took you from my reach
Caressing my skin with a memory
As I stood alone upon the beach
Yet still I stand upon this shore
Waiting here...reaching for you
Until God brings back to me sweet ripples
And my dear friend that is true
