M's Poetry
Brand New
The weight is off, yes I can finally breath
it took almost everything but I did leave
left you standing there holding on to nothing
feel better than ever
I feel brand new
Now my smile is back, my wit back
my soul feels like it recovered from the rain storm
now I feel free, free now to do or say anything
and man does it feel good
the bars around me parted
and I hold my head now high
because the brand new life of mine has started
I saw you the other day
and I paused but didn't say hey
because I know the pain I went through
I never want to revisit
it's feels so good not to miss us
and I walk right by
I have hope for tomorrow
and no more tears in my eyes
I feel wonderful, I feel brand new...
