TO BE A CHILD AGAIN
Oh to be a child again,
The fantasy in every game,
Innocents, naive and young,
How those days where fall of fun.
We had no worries, nor no fear,
Life was free we did not care,
Hour on hour out at play,
We had no threats of bills to pay.
We never understood we grew,
Our trusty parents saw us through,
They gave us love with their support,
Despite sometimes they where distort.
Life was easy simple then,
Oh to be a child again,
Where climbing trees was so much fun,
Concurring each and every one.
Walking miles and miles on end,
Just to go and see a friend,
How these times gone bye have changed,
We now keep all our kids on rains.
We used to stay out late at night,
Site and talk under stars so bright,
Those summer holidays where so long,
It’s hard to tell where they have gone.
Time passes bye now days so quick,
As I grow old it makes me sick,
Each year goes faster so it seems,
Oh to have my childhood dreams.
I’d love to be that child again,
Who did not worry if it rained,
To play in fields of grasses green,
Oh to be that child I’ve been.
