That Rowdy Rabbit
What's all the commotion
going on this
late at night?
It must be
that dang rabbit,
up to no good.
"QUIET DOWN OUT THERE
YOU'LL WAKE ME KIDS!"
Is there no
peace and quiet
in the world today?
He's running around
me darn house,
banging and thumping
off the ruddy walls.
I walk out to the kitchen
and what do I see?
The dang beggar
is up on me counter,
munching out on the kids
chocolate chip cookies.
"GET DOWN OUTTA THERE!"
I smacked him
in the head and
he fell onto the floor,
he scrambled to get
back up onto his feet.
"I'm going to teach
you a lesson on
how to be quiet."
I grabbed
that rowdy rabbit
by his long ears
and whipped him
across the room.
He tried to scurry off,
when I grabbed him
by his furry tail,
"Where do you think
you are going?"
I punched him in the face
and knocked him out cold,
"That'll teach ya
to mess with me."
He had a big black eye
and his ears were
twisted out of shape,
his tail was just about gone,
as I stood over him
with a handful of fur.
"Maybe when you come back
here again next year,
you'll be a little more quiet."
I dusted myself off
and went back to bed.
