Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

The man to blame.

“Be a man”…
“Big men don’t cry”.
Lost in the rhetoric…
Of all the reasons why.
Man meat for order…
Muscle bound or slim.
Always the hero…
Always… to win.

“Stand and be counted”…
March as one man.
Brandish all your weapons,
On those that are damned.
Laugh with your victory,
At those that life has lost.
Never look behind you…
Never count the cost.

Contradiction every hour…
“Be a man” is all I hear.
I’m a man in every fashion,
But I am not the man… to fear.
I cry as any other…
… Lost in all the pain.
But I am he, who’s been counted,
So I am the one to blame!
