Living Faith

II Corinthians 5:7 & 8

We walk in our faith rather than by sight,
So we are of good courage with our might;
Willing rather to be absent from this shell,
And being with our Lord where for to dwell.
Seeing is believing that some might say,
To them there is no proof come what may;
If unable to see or touch how can be true,
Feelings for them just will not make-do;
Ones of little or no faith don't understand,
Faith is not based on a supply and demand;
You can not go and buy faith in the store,
When you feel like you need a little more;
Faith is firmly built on your own beliefs,
Knowing of consolation with your griefs;
A building of trust and hope with no doubt,
That God has all your future plans laid out;
A faith of a foundation that's solid built,
Freeing you from your body and your guilt
Faith is as courage from a lion that roared,
For it is in hearing the Word of the Lord.
