Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

The shine of most words gleam on longer than the shine of most smiles

Through some tears shine smiles,
But when the shine runs out
I'm suddenly left with a puddle of tears,
Mixed upon a pile of grief.
Smiles don't last nearly as long as
These perfectly placed words but
Seldom a person to comprehend
What it all truly means.
I guess some words are left
Shattered on the cold hard floor, still…
It's the smiles that freeze
And fall away from a new reality,
Never to be thought upon again.
We always reflect back upon words.
