Petals In The Grass

Light Of The Night

Casting shadows in the night
Pale, your luminous light lingers
Curse the darkness that seems so slight
Bring your brilliance to my fingers
Seeming to speak
Leaving me with a good feeling
Starting to creep
All of my bad memories it's stealing
When I was nothing you were there
Your beam's so bright, yet cold
This minor journey we both share
Your mystery is very old
You're the great one of the dark
At night show the way
In the sky a continuos spark
You will always be here to stay
