Petals In The Grass

Dirt Road

Soften the blow of relentless torment
Pleading for the comfort of lost tears
Misplaced memories arise
Greeting in a callous manner
Squandering any hope of sanity
The dirt road is still dusty
Cleansing the dirt with weeping
Recalls a shiny sorrowful revelation
