Petals In The Grass
An Elegant Gesture
Ghostly skin
With shiny black hair
Wanting to touch her
Thoughts try to dare
Giving so much goodness
Which is not understood
God has a place in heaven
Because firmly the ground she stood
A way of decency
She has left her mark
Where memories are
She can only embark
Crying for understanding
Drops she wiped yearly
Tears that will always
Love and thank her dearly
With shiny black hair
Wanting to touch her
Thoughts try to dare
Giving so much goodness
Which is not understood
God has a place in heaven
Because firmly the ground she stood
A way of decency
She has left her mark
Where memories are
She can only embark
Crying for understanding
Drops she wiped yearly
Tears that will always
Love and thank her dearly
