The Noble Eagle

Upon the purple mountains, boldly he has
placed his throne. Eyes so sharp that pierce
the dark, defender of his home.
A crown of white upon his head as wisdom from
the years, black robe cloaked round about him
in splendor, stands no fear.
With power and a purpose unfurled mighty
wings so strong, in gallant pride and freedom
swiftly soaring far and long.
The strength lies in his courage every time
he takes to flight, from the peace that dwells
within him, a majestic and tranquil sight.
Great insight our forefathers had when they
chose democracy. A sovereign governed by
justice,unioned with liberty.
The patriotic emblem for a nation of freewill
is the splendid Noble Eagle soaring high in
freedom still!
