Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Nighttime Stuff

This nighttime stuff has kept me up too long,
And I am yearning to see the way.
I am yearning to take the path of stars
To a destination meant only for few.
I am ready to ride the moon
To a world that only I am allowed to be a part of.
As the wind ire's by me,
I see how truly lonely I am.
Standing in the backyard, in my pajamas,
Feet dirty, mind whirring, eyes peering.
No one to take my hand and help me to see
That I was never alone.
Staring up at the sky, I want to
Follow the path I laid out.
Where I once said to my friend,
“The future is laid out for us up there,”
And away we walked to the promise land,
A land of nighttime skies and pride,
For the nighttime is made up of some powerful stuff.
