The Angel With The Smile! She came to my ward one morning, And smiled that smile so bright, Asked me how my pain was… I said it was out of sight! So she put her pen to paper, And wrote a prescription out for me, Gave me much stronger meds… To rid this anguish and make me pain free! Now she's always very happy, And I just have to add… She's very much in love… With a very lovely lad! Young love seems to agree with her, For she wears a smile second to none, She's a lovely - happy disposition, Her patient's hearts she's won! Her name is so unusual… It's Marelize with a zed, So I decided to write a ‘thank you!' poem, As I lay in my hospital bed! So way to go Marelize… You really are a star! May all your days be good one's, No matter where you are! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
