Come , Follow Me, This Way
A whisper
from behind
you says,
‘Come . . .
follow Me this way'
I will
be with you
always and teach
you to say.
This is
my testimony,
this is what the
Lord has done for me.
He has
given me
joy for my tears.
He has taught me to be.
His mouthpiece
to the hurting, to
set the captive free,
To lead
them to Jesus,
who loves them eternally.
To lay
hands on the
sick, God's power
to them does heal.
We take back
from the enemy
their health and
well-being he sought
to steal.
We speak
to the mountain
in our life, be cast
down and thrown into the sea.
There is
no power on
earth that can
separate His love from me.
According
to His power -
that works on the
inside of you,
Go and tell
the world of His
great love, that He
wants them as His own too.
He is
the only
true God of
this world who
sent His Son for us to clutch.
Jesus Christ
died, stretched
out His arms and said,
'Father I love them this much'.
Look upward
toward heaven
and give God your
whole being and life.
You will
not be disappointed,
and He will give you peace . . .
in place of strife.
