Funny were the silhouettes
created when I was a kid;
dull light illuminates
behind a flimsy blanket
to reflect varied forms
of cut out cartoon images
worth keeping behind pages.
Fun and games faded at young age
replaced by agony laced with rage
from sudden change of fate,
young marriage done in haste.
Scary were the paths of life
that follow the animosity dealt
with anguish, pain, and sorrow
nary of source for strength to borrow.
Reflecting the memories of the past,
they all shape the forms that never last
compared to the sinews I gained so fast
in the wake of difficulties I dared combat
than succumbed to lose the weakening mind
hence, sustained a journey to abysmal reason
today I revel the happiness my life will commune.
