Flowers of Mercy

Lord, have mercy on me
give me strength to grow
plant in me your seeds of love
that they may bloom seeds to sow.

Over the desolate deserts
may these buds hurl and blow
give them living water within
the depths of my soul.

Lord, sprout petals so tender
as your mercy begins to grow
where impossibilities seem simple
for you to bestow.

Reaching all around the world
in which my path may meet
springing up the most beautiful flowers
that never smelled so sweet.
