Deceitful PrideProverbs 6:16-19 The things that our Lord truly does despise, Killing others, lying tongues, haughty eyes; A conniving heart that's full of wickedness, Someone who pours out lies as a witness; A person who provokes another to discord, One who rushes to evil instead of the Lord. God really hates when we get full of pride, Becoming boastful and cocky deep inside; A tendency for arrogance and to deceive, Only thinking of personal gain to achieve; Looking for all possible ways to get ahead, Not even caring who might just get misled; The priority for themselves is their own, No one else will fit into their cornerstone; They have their clique feeling as the elite, Love looking in the mirror full of conceit; There is no doubt for a change in attitude, Confess to God and express Him gratitude; Get back on track with staying on His path, Before meeting fate and feeling God's wrath.
