All Of Me
There is not a trace left
that you didn't see
take it all in and spit it out
see if a rainbow appears or will it be dark clouds
I can't say for sure I am certain
but nothing is forever only the memories you leave
but before I part
I want you to know you had all of me
If I could turn back the time
I would, if it meant our lives would have ended happily
no frown ever matches a smile
what I wouldn't give to see you walk through the door again
you will always be my best friend
even if we never share another conversation
I know I loved you with the best of intentions
sometimes you just can't control the circumstances you were dealt
but before you leave
You always knew you had all of me
whether time shines on us again
I guess it is in the hands of fate
and if we never see each other again
we will have our answer, it was too late....
at least we both know what if felt like
to have everything we ever wanted
each other....
