Just A Thought Or Two…Here on my hospital bed at 10pm, A friend popped into my head again! And while he's there, I'd like to impart, A little to him, of what's in my heart! Now I jest and joke with him all the time, This brilliant man, with a heart so fine! But just for now Adrian, this is for you, To let you know what I've been through. Hell and back! I think you know that's true! For along that path, you've walked with me too! You gave me hope when I needed it so, Reminded me of my faith, when I was letting it go! Spurred me on, and never did you falter, To get the job done - and my life alter! I told you once that God did great, When He dropped into my life, a smashing mate! Of course He agreed, as I knew He would! And I thank Him daily, as only I could! You kept me strong, when I was low, Gave me hope as your faith did show! And no matter the times I looked so calm, Believe you me, I was full of alarm! I knew God brought you into my life just then… For He knew you would make me better again! We know through our lives things are meant, And I know for certain you are Heaven sent! For God looked down – I one special day, And whispered to me; ‘Catherine, your fears I will stay!' He decided that you were the one, you see, To help put right, the wrong in me! And yes, you did! You worked your magic! On what could have been, so very tragic! I chat to God all the time as you know, And often wonder how each day will go, But a very special man, who's in my life… Taught me ‘one-day-at-a-time' relieves some strife! So every day I wake up, this is what I do, I tell myself, ‘one-day-at-a-time' to help me through! But also every day that I chat with my mate, I always say a special for a man so great! So Adrian, just a little thought or two, I asked for God's blessings to be bestowed on you, And every night when we have our chat…! He whisper's; ‘Catherine, be certain of that!'
