BagsA little black bundle of fur When you came to us one day. Stayed with us for six whole years Then just went away. Leaving us with memories Of times we spent together. Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall In fact, all kinds of weather. You had your fussy little ways We fed you dainty food Sometimes you`d scratch me very hard But mostly you were good. I watched them take away your pain I`m glad that I was there I know we`ll meet again someday Because I said a prayer. God, I said, Please keep him safe Love Bags with all your heart And God said, I`ll love him lots And then we had to part. But I know sometime, somewhere We`ll meet you once again Remember us and how we care Goodbye dear Bags, `til then. Vote for this poem |
