Extinguished

I seem to have lost
That soft pen of fire
That once wrote in flames
Scribing my desire

I look for the words
Once falling silken from my lips
How I long to write them
Before the fire is extinguished

My pen it seems
Is somewhere far away
Following my heart there
And they have chosen to stay

But such simple words
Become a sensual write
Until love takes control
In dreams of the night

What once was I want you
A fire out of control
Has surrendered to a heartbeat
And the words...I love you so
