 HOME OF THE FLOWING PEN

Turmoil

Sometimes she is overwhelmed
By the humble pie fed from life's plate
And she may push everyone away
But now and then she needs to liberate

Could it be some strange fascination
Pulling them to squelch dreams in her chest
And for all the attention she is so flattered
But just once can't they destroy someone else

I'm sure a broken soul can be so intriguing
So they see just how far they can go
But her mental escape will be one for repeating
Where is the laughter and I told you so?

Soon a victim finds herself a conquerer
One who was fed her heart will get to serve
And it will be her time to laugh at last
As she is handing out their just desserts
