Poetry Poem

How Do You Know?

More Poetry >>

Why Should I?

Why should I
lay down and die?

My world is crumbling
around me,
I'm not going to
drop to my knees
and let this world win.

Why should I
give up on life?

I might be sad,
it doesn't mean
I should give up
on anything.

Why should I
cry and be depressed?

I have to keep
myself calm for you,
you and the children
need me to be strong.

Give up on life.

Why should I?

Cry and be depressed.

Why should I?

Lay down and die.

Why should I?

I've had a really hard weekend. I hope my husband gets better.
