Heart Of The Matter

Oh Sweet Love

Oh sweet love, what is this thing,
A tender kiss with which you bring,
Me back from sleep, my dreams to keep,
You speak my name, with love so deep.

You sweep my hair back from my eyes,
You care for me, there's no disguise,
And hold me gently while I wake,
Your loving gaze, you cannot fake.

The day has dawned and you're still here,
I bless the day I found you near,
And though we go our separate ways,
We come back here to end our days.

We talk a while and say goodnight,
And share a meal by candlelight,
You whisper softly in my ear,
To speak the words, I want to hear.

Oh sweet love, what is this thing,
With just one look, my heart to sing,
And keep, me ever wondering,
Is this thing ……………….
