The Carpenter ScholarMark 6:2 & 3 When Jesus taught and many were amazed, Of a carpenter that Mary and Joseph raised; "Whence does a man know with such things?" "What wisdom He has in the understandings?" "What mighty works molded by His hands?" "The Holy Scripture so easily He commands." It is hard to figure out and maybe offended, A carpenter taught as if he comprehended; No education or other means of knowledge, Never went to a seminary or other college; Even in those days it did not make sense, No formal education teaching so intense; Talking circles around those in authority, The Pharisees and Scribes an inferiority; To them Jesus Christ was a troublemaker, Thinking of Him as merely being a faker; We know His authority came much higher, In His words that causes for us to inspire; In God's Plan brought up in humbleness, And rewarding believers in blessedness.
