 God's Love Through Poetry

Heaven With A Song

Lord, help me embrace another mile
remembering it will only be a little while
with an eternity I can catch my breath
and my tears will be but a smile.

Though before me I see rugged terrain
nothing in my path I find vain
give me strength to climb mountains
in the valleys help me substain.

So as I feel the warmth of Life's rays
and the rocks which clutter my paths way
like the mist of the mourning's dew
this too will pass away.

Lord, nothing lingers to long
with your glory keep me strong
then with a tune can I enter
Heaven with a song.
